Host a Gilded Golden Globes Party - Pier 1

HOST A GILDED GOLDEN GLOBES PARTY

Looking for a reason to get fancied up for a night? The Golden Globes are the perfect excuse for a night of glitz and glam and seriously good snacks.

Roll Out the Red Carpet

Literally. Lay down a red rug -- or a length of red fabric or craft paper -- and let your guests walk an “actual” red carpet lined with gold balloons -- and paparazzi, of course!

Create a Simple & Scrumptious Menu

Nominate your mirrors for most adaptable decor -- use them as serving trays. Present a black-tie menu of simple nibbles and sips to last through the night.

Mix popcorn with a buttery mix of curry and cayenne tossed with golden raisins, apricots, and Jordan almonds. Recipe from bhg.com

Dress up deviled eggs with bay shrimp, caviar, or smoked salmon.

Toss cooked bowtie pasta (get it, bowtie?) with rotisserie chicken, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan.

Gussy up gelatin shots with champagne and sparkly sugar. Get the tutorial from foodandwine.com

Set up your bar cart with a big batch cocktail, like this champagne punch recipe from The Plaza in NYC made from fruit-flavored iced tea. Serve in swirly gold stemless wine glasses rimmed with gold sugar and garnished with fresh fruit.
